FIRE DETECTION & ALARM SYSTEMS

Cable Type Heat Detectors

Detection in Difficult Areas

Quick response is required when a fire breaks out in tunnels, halls, parking lots, cable galleries/ducts or conveyor belts.

In such a situation, it is important to protect lives, minimize damage to property, and avoid costly downtime. To overcome these challenges, linear heat sensing systems are preferred, which is a world-proven solution. Cable type detectors have three different types of technology as digital, analog and fiber.

Analog and Digital Cable Type Detectors

Digital linear heat sensing wires are designed to trigger a signal when a certain temperature is reached. If the temperature surrounding the wire reaches the activation temperature, the two cores will quickly make contact and trigger an alarm. These cables are known as “digital” because they are “off” below the activation temperature and “open” irreversibly once the activation temperature is reached. They can be integrated into addressable and conventional fire detection panels. With optional equipment, the alarm point can be displayed as meters.

Analog linear heat sensing cables and their control method instantly report changes in temperature. The technology allows the facility to program an early warning pre-alarm alongside the specified alarm temperature. If the temperature surrounding the analog linear heat cable reaches the pre-alarm point, the controller triggers an alert, giving the user time to inspect the area at risk. Only when the temperature reaches the set alarm point will the controller trigger a full alarm. It can be integrated into addressable and conventional fire detection panels. With optional equipment, the alarm point can be displayed as meters.
