Why Do You See Viking in Specifications?
Viking is a manufacturer of valves, sprinklers and system components for fixed fire protection systems, and has the majority of its products approved under UL, FM, VdS and LPCB. That approval breadth makes the brand a frequent choice in both NFPA-based and TS EN 12845-based specifications: it is often possible to find a model from a single manufacturer’s product range that matches the approval regime a given project falls under.
In practice, this means that on a site with lines subject to different approval regimes, consolidating components with a single manufacturer simplifies both spare parts and maintenance.
