Water Mist Fire Suppression Systems

With the development of technology, more efficient extinguishing systems can be installed with water mist systems, which are offered as an alternative to conventional sprinkler systems. Compared to normal sprinkler heads, these systems can absorb more energy from the fire thanks to special deflectors that pulverize the water much more finely, bringing system requirements down to more appropriate levels. Low pressure water mist systems that can be integrated into existing fire systems have VdS 3883-4 approval and have successfully passed the prEN 14972-5 protocol tests. Since the pressure requirement in these systems is similar to conventional sprinkler systems, there is no need for special stainless pipes and fittings in the high pressure class.
