Smoke & Heat Exhaust Ventilation Systems

Combating Risk of Smoke

Smoke has devastating effects on buildings as well as dangerous for individuals. Burning gases and the hot combustion gases produced, together with the smoke, collect at the roof and can cause the structural elements there to melt and the roof to collapse. In cases where fire extinguishing systems successfully extinguish the fire, if the smoke is not evacuated, it can cause serious damage to the equipment, product or raw material in the space. In environments without smoke evacuation, interventions may be ineffective as the fire brigade team will have difficulty in identifying the source of the fire. Smoke evacuation systems are designed according to DIN 18232 standard. The system can be offered in two options, fully automatic or manually controlled, depending on the needs.

System Types

Loss of life in fire events is caused by smoke inhalation. Individuals exposed to smoke experience distraction, sleepiness and inability to leave the place.

Sprinklers, which have a wide range of use in the industry, have flexible application methods tailored to their needs. Sprinkler system lines can be kept under pressure or filled with air against the risk of freezing. It can be installed in dominant systems by using open-ended sprinklers at very high fire risk points or where cooling is required.

SHEV Dampers

These covers positioned on the roof can also be used for natural ventilation and natural lighting in summer. Thus, savings in air conditioning and energy consumption can be achieved. The covers, which are available in sizes suitable for all roof types, can be opened at 172° degrees within 60 seconds at most for smoke evacuation. The systems, which can be used with wind and rain sensors that enable automatic closing in bad weather conditions, offer an insulation compatible with the roof with its high insulation feature. Smoke evacuation caps, which are produced as resistant to high heat and open flame, prevent the spread of fire on the roof.

Application

  • Warehouses
  • Production Areas
  • Shopping malls
  • High Ceiling Buildings

Advantages

  • Reducing Smoke Damage
  • Removal of Heat from the Environment
  • Use as Lighting
  • Use as Ventilation

System Applications

Smoke evacuation covers, which can also be applied on inclined and oval roofs, are produced in the desired dimensions and delivered to the site in a pre-assembled form. In the field works, cutting the roof, removing the covers to the roof with the help of a crane, mounting the covers to the roof with insulation materials, connecting the mechanisms and pulling the pneumatic lines or 24V electrical wiring necessary for activation are carried out.
